I have a HWC engine, and the Speed Torpedo keeps coming off. I can beerly get a flight in, and it falls off. The last thing I did, was I supported the back section. I use the side screws, but that seems to not work. Any help would be great.

Sounds like you have some bad vibrations. I'd have the engine checked for bad bearings, bent crank or balance issues.

I put high temp gasket sealer on my bolts before I thread them in. It has worked very well for me over the years.

I have had alot of luck by letting my gasser come up to temp then while hot torque the bolts down....

they stay put then...at least on mine.

if they are not staying in place chances are just like Fender says, you may be dealing with alot of high frequency vibrations...once these get to constantly loosening your bolts on the V2, it will always fall off cause they are opening up the threaded hole and are starting to fit loose...

try the high temp gasket seal like he stated, but make sure to follow directions...you cant just put it on and go fly an hour later...most high temp sealants require you assemble the parts, then let them set for so many hours, then apply a bit more torque to the bolts...

I have seen plankers use a high temp paint used on BBQ grills and even some type of very high temp exhaust repair stuff from auto parts stores to lock thier exhuast bolts in place...but it may be way over kill.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Yep put her in a hover for 2 or 3 mins. land crank them down. The side set screws do not need to be REAL tight just run them down till they touch and give them a bit more. It is a nightmare to pull them out after you strip them.

Thank you all for the help. The motor is pretty new. It only has a gallon threw it. I am starting to tune the motor, so I am not sure if this is where the vibration is coming from. The last flight I did, the motor seemed to be running just right I thought.

I will try the tightening up the bolts as the engine is hot.
