So whos got the info on the shadowy "Synergy Speed" heli?
I only hope that its much less than those overpriced $2500 speed kits.

hehe, dear fungi, you make me laught.

As far as I know the Synergy is pretty much a standard E7 with some speed treatments and and speed canopy. I am guessing the cost should be not too far off from the regular E7.

It is not a purposed speed heli, but rather a smart adaptation of the E7 narrow frame.

I heard is still in testing phases.

Avants are also very narrow and "could be adapted" for speed.

Guess they're doing some hard core testing at the new ranch

Going to be damn hard to beat Jans' new speed dedicated machine and the Banshee. Not long before these cats are knocking on the 200mph door.

With that said, U...S...A!!!!!!!

It doesn't really have to win a speed competition to be worthwhile. Something that's somewhat tailored for speed but is more of an in between would probably be more useful to an average pilot but, of course, would never win a speed cup.

One of the largest challenges for any speed iteration of an existing mechanic is making sure the primary driveline can absorb the strain of 14D of pitch at 2600 rpm. Last year at IRCHA I saw the outer portion of the maingear of a model in practice for a speed run literally ripped off its center section.

A good number of the Speed Cup top machines last year ran brass alloys or steel metal main gears. Like Bob said, speed iterations from stock make fun racers , but rarely good enough for hardcore

great comeback, you call me moneypit, how clever.
Deep pockets, me? Far from truth. I have to work hard and do a lot of sacrifices for what I have. I am blessed and fortunate to have a few great sponsors though, but I also work very hard for them behind the scenes.

Let me ask you, are you buying a Synergy speed model?

I am all for seeing new and affordable speed helis, especially from Matt who I admired for many years.
But I am sure that if he adds enough technology to make it competitive and robust, the price will not be too far from what a Diabolo or TDR sell for.

What make/model $2500 speed kits are you referring to that you believe are overpriced?

As soon as the weather cooperates. Unfortunately, the field is under 18" of snow with several layers of ice in between due to the constant freeze/thaw we've been having.

I answered your question, so are you going to answer mine?

Then there's also the one below you started almost a month ago and never responded to either. You called out a few individuals (just as you did a few manufacturers in this thread) for the price of their products, but never explained what you're comparing to.

I am feeling a Synergy speed, I willing and ready for a Synergy speed kit. Anyone ELSE with positive contributing input?

Don't even bother, I'll just wait and see from the other site.
