I am in the process of implementing new member profile photos with mine being the first prototype. Am I on the right track?

Kind of small but to be bigger it would have to make the post blocks bigger or drop current information.

I say put the photo in the user profile page but not in every post.

Just opinion...Won't matter one way or the other in my opinion of the site.

I literally never use the word literally right.

I like the picture thing. I have pictures on my other forums.

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

I think smaller allows for displaying with every post without being too annoying or distracting. A bigger one is displayed in the member's profile.

I like the picture idea, but on my computer the picture is too small to really see anything. I think it needs to be just a little bit bigger. Maybe 20% bigger?

I like the profile photo idea...what are rules on the photo?

It looks fine on my cell phone. Any bigger is going to be too annoying.

I would choose bigger, I can barely tell that yours is a picture of a person, but my eyes are old. I never look at RR on my phone!

Is their a reason the whole forum display area can't be bigger, instead of only using about half of the page width?

That remains to be seen.

Use your browsers zoom feature. Site design is fixed around a smaller universal desktop+mobile size.

As long as there is a way to disable these from being displayed for those who do not wish to see them then I would say yes.

As mentioned in the other thread, one of the things that makes RR useful is is the performance. I realized these are small images, but every image consumes bandwidth.

The photo is so small that bandwidth is irrelevant.

No that was taken in California. Now in Michigan I have a beard.

I like the idea, do it. I would be glad to post my ugly mug.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

It's still a UI issue. I don't see what benefit this little image will provide?

Your avitar doesnt have to be a photo of yourself, it could be your helis, your rims on your car etc.If you dont want other members to see you, simply select a photo of something you like and use it.
