So are they also going to introduce their own satellites?

Or is this a futaba deal, or am I missing something?

I know about that unit but you have to land plug it and then do your adjustments.

What I vision is a small display unit that you can do the adjustments on flight just like the transmitter.

I wish, I wish!!!!!!

Yes I watched the video.

I don't use futaba, or the single antenna setup, I use spektrums with lots of sats, so that's all I know. Did I really have to explain that to you.

Well I'm very sorry Spektrum has trained you that you need all those sats. That was a poor band aid to try and fix 2.4 technology.

A good 2.4 system only needs a single pair of diversity antennas to get a quality signal.

Most people don't know this but Futaba FAST was not developed for RC applications. Before they ever released it in their RC radios Futaba used their 2.4 FAST technology in industrial and manufacturing applications for years. This is why I firmly believe their technology was full baked and solid the day it was released. Unlike Spektrum were the consumer has suffered through the continually development of their product (read: paying guinea pigs).

At my day job I do 802.11 2.4/5GHz RF design and planning for business offices, manufacturing, warehouses, retail, banks, hospitals, etc. We resell enterprise hardware from Cisco, Meraki, and Aruba Networks. So I have some excellent knowledge of 2.4 and RF in general.

I've never had a single problem with my JR 12X in something like 6 years.

Although this is something I would never purchase or use, I applaud Mikado for continued development and "raising the bar" one more step.

Kudos Mikado!

So, how is the planned plank stuff gonna work with/without the vbar? Do I need assistance(as3x) in flying my turbines and 40%ers?

Fantastic it can turn off, but what is the need for planks?

As mentioned, my 12x has zero issues.

I ask this in jest, I WANT to find a reason to buy this thing.

Did I understand the video correctly, that to use the model sharing (AKA known as wireless buddy box), you first turn off the master TX, and then turn on and bind the slave TX.

I have to assume that there is no airborne switchover. I would never turn off my TX while my heli is airborne.

There has to be more to this than I see.

I am sure Mikado has put safeguards in place to prevent things like that from happening. The full details will be released soon

Just have to wait for the news of whether you can run the VBar android app on the new JR 28X. That's probably going to be the deciding factor of which system I get for a Tx replacement.

It will also be interesting to hear the feedback once the two radios are in the hands of the masses.
