It will be nice if apart from the radio they sell a small touch screen unit that you can do it all without the need of that transmitter or a PC.

Just add more for those of us that don't want to change radios. It will be very costly since now with this new Vbar radio I will have to buy extra Vbar receivers to change all my existing ones.

I really like the features on this new radio but again mikado can do what I just mention above to make it more affordable and user friendly with existing radios.

Just my 2cents....

PS: I love my vbars. I love the idea of changing parameters in flight. But changing my radio and all my gears? Hummm I don't know......

You could just use the Bluetooth adapter, but I'm sure it has a limited range, like anything else Bluetooth

Very Nice.
Get them to add a simple telemetry connection to Kontronik ESC's and they have a real winner.

Ron, you probably know the answer to this question. What kind of volume can we expect out of a 2-watt speaker? Will it be loud enough to hear the transmitter sending alerts over the noise of a guy flying his gasser nearby?

How far away is the gasser in this pyshics question? Or does justin have me on ignore? That would need to be tried I suspect. I know that my upgraded speaker in my 8fg when had it was a whopping .6watts and it was much louder then stock. That said I suspect this one would be very adequate being (2.0) minus a chinook heli landing by you at the field.

2 watts for a speaker right at your head will be PLENTY loud. I don't think you will have an issue hearing it..

Not going to happen. Spektrum doesn't support the two-way communication they will have proprietary to the Vbar.
