Hey Mr rr professor it's time you Draft our own terminology I had mines, you're addressing my post from a emotional point of view now please stop.

"I M a big spender on mikado products and I reserved
The rights to praise/rebuke what I see as a bad business practice, and am sure you do too.

My concerne is that Mikado] will spoil other player in the field like FUTAB, JR, PLATRONIC, ETC" these guy made the product for us to buy so they can make money, so if something isn't rights then we need is a speak up. If you dont like my charge then find you own dang Tarade)

You can quote me back if your the peace officer of disappointed guest here on RR,

"EVERYONE here has an opinion I don't see why you singled me out? "Oh I see I M the eye opener I guess:.

Updates - free
Upgrades (to pro that is) - not free
The pro is a 40 dollar upgrade and is a one time thing. Less effort than all the discussion.
Exactly! Some of these people doing all the whining should get their facts straight for starters. The same people whining about the $40 are probably the same ones buying the clone units that made it necessary for Mikado to implement the software/firmware update process as we see it today.

I'll be the first to agree, from a customer perspective, the process for getting updates/software is extra work we didn't have to do before. But for the 5 minutes it takes to do......big deal. I'd rather see that than that Mikado go under because of their features being ripped off by other companies too cheap to do the research work themselves. Mikado will still be losing some sales, but at least the people buying the clones won't get the benefits of all the FREE firmware updates.

As for the Pro/Express deal, if you want the extra features, you pay for them. Like EVERYTHING else in this world today. As Bob has already mentioned, it's a one time payment. If you don't like it, buy something else.

If Mikado sold the units as Pro OR Express, and did away with the $40 upgrade process, you would still have people buying the Express and then wanting the Pro features as they became more experienced. If there was no upgrade process, they would have to buy another unit! If there still was the upgrade option, well, we'd be right back into this stupid argument again wouldn't we?

What is everyone whining about.

Vbar makes an awesome reliable FBL unit that makes my models fly awesome and now they're offering a radio that is going to allow me to control and program my vbar at the field!!!

Who cares about a $40 upgrade (jeez, these guys need to make a little coin too - do you know much it cost to develop these products?)

With Vbar, radios have just become expensive bricks with bells and whistles we really don't need, because as you know - its all done in the Vbar.

Now, Mikado is giving you a reliable radio with all the Vbar programming functionality as your laptop.

This thread should be about one thing - Applause!!!!

I totally agree with some of what you said there, if you see something from a customer perspective then boycott is a way to send a unequivocal message to these manufacture, as a community we can do it.

"Selling this radio as a half or 3 1/4 then complete it troughs some kind of consumer bail out or any form of monetary maneuver is down rights wrong when its doesn't have to be that way.

Mr dhal have work to do when he go back to Europe all he had to do is show them this threads so they and their s investors know that we're aware and concerned about their money making protocol with
This radio.

No complaints from me.
Before the V-bar I paid $240 for a Receiver (JR),$240.00 for a Futaba 601 tail gyro and $175.00 dollars for a Futaba Governor.
With V-bar I have a receiver FOUR GYROS and governor in the same unit.
If you do the math, V-bar Pro is a great deal.

Small correction. You still have to purchase receivers, one or two satellites or one full size. So you have three gyros and you only get the governor if you upgrade to pro. I agree it still costs less but lets be accurate about it so we don't confuse anyone new who may be reading our madness.

Sorry, you are right. I added the pitch (Because you can play with it with the V-bar).
Tail, elevator and aileron.

I do not have to purchase receiver, Yes I do have to purchase the satellite (2).

By the way, the Logo 700 Combo Kits come with Pro installed.
So they are installing Pro software in some already. Just do a few more.

And again,I never said anything about free Pro software.
I never suggested doing away with the upgrade program...The opposite in fact.

I'd like to see all three options.
Buy Express and later upgrade if desired.
Buy Pro at an elevated price straight from the start.

It's not unreasonable.

Same with the radio.
Buy it without telemetry for a lower price.
Buy it with telemetry for full price.

I literally never use the word literally right.

And there shouldn't be anything wrong with that! Some will use it to the fullest extent and some will just fly. I like having options!

Kyle Dahl was in Southern Utah @ our fun fly this weekend and I got a chance to meet him and check out this new Tx. I was alot more impressed by it "in-person" than I was in the vid. I like the Gimbals ALOT! Like silk, and for me at least, I really like the ergonomics of it. I would personally like to see a little more bling, and a little less black.

For those that said it looked small...um yeah...Kyle just has really big hands, lol! We really enjoyed watching him fly with this thing, it was fantastic!

That was a good move. Kyle was in Birmingham last weekend and I was able to check out the Transmitter. It looks more high end in person. I thought the pics made it look kinda cheap. I really want one, but was afraid to try to take it away from Kyle. That's a big boy! He was very tight lipped about price. I couldn't get it narrowed down any tighter than greater than a dollar but less than $5k

From a fellow pilot that still flies flybar, I am excited to see the technology in our hobby continuously moving forward. We should ALL be so fortunate at whatever the cost of admission is. Just stop and look how far things have come and what you get for your money now, versus 10 years ago.
