I am getting ready to install the esc in my goblin and was wondering weather or not I need to remove the factory yge heatshrink and bolt it directly to the heatsink. The other option is to just bolt it up as is. Will I have negative effects with that thin layer of heatshrink in between?

I am not quite sure what you are asking? I have both types. The Sab sink and the Yge sinks. I use the Yge versions. The Sab version pretty much sucked.

The yge esc comes with a piece of heatshrink covering it! Should I remove the heatshrink on the esc before bolting it to the goblin heatsink?

Ahhh, got ya. Just cut a hole around the sink area where the actual sink studs need to breathe. Leaving a shrink wrap edge around the parameter of the sink.
