Nice flight BigQ! Not sure why it's taken a week for any props for you, but great job.

Whatcha got in 'er?

What is the temperature where you are? It's been way to cold to fly where I am, but I see you have some snow so you are obviously are not in the tropics. Just curious if I'm just a wimp, or you if had a decent day. There has only been a couple of days warmer than 14F where I am since mid December.

Nicely done I am surprised you don't have any wag a few people have wag including me, 1st it was my push rod was too tight in the rod support it stopped after that for a little then start again.

I change servo same problem I remove the 2 o ring from the torque tube and swap the JRx9503 for the futaba 10c and the wag is gone.

I don't know if those o ring was the problem or if its was the JR radio it doesn't seem to work great
With VBAR. It was never a problem with the 7200BX.

I was waiting on some honey but there aren't no Queen bee,

Prior to that video, I hovered the X3 and noticed a little wag during pitch pumps. I landed and immediately changed the distance on the tail servo horn and the wag was gone. Im at 7.8MM The VBar is happy with that.

The Dominator never wag with the JR radio but all of my other heli do,
that JR radio I can't get it to work with no gyro

I ask you over 50 time are you using those collar on your gaui torque tube?. "I took mines off and I am not sure if that what fix the wag.

No, you asked if I used "o-ring", and I didn't know what you were talking about, cause there aren't any "o-rings" on the TT...

I did not use the "post release fix" collar on the TT, I built my X3 before they came up with that fix, and I used JB-weld on my build.

When I do crash this heli, and have to build the next TT I will likely pin the TT

My X3 has around about 200 flights on it. I don't have a Dominator The TT is the original one.

Since I added the Gaui Steel 12T I have had a reduction in gear noise, and no gear issues.

A very quick way to strip the gear is to hit the ground though.

Yesterday I was doing reversing Piro Pogos, and my timing was off, I thought I had room for another piro but I ran out of space, and the skids and tail hit the grass, not hard, but some grass flew, and the disk bobbled. I was lucky that the TT gears didn't strip! Tuff little bird this X3!

The Dominator never wag with the JR radio but all of my other heli do,
that JR radio I can't get it to work with no gyro
as I was told to use the GOV to control the gain,
my 1st edition DX7 work great.
If you are using an AR7200BX with a JR transmitter, you MUST know that the AR7200BX expects gyro gain control out of Channel 5. No other channel will do.

JR transmitters, when using the Gyro Sense menu to control a Gyro, EXPECT to control a GYRO using CHANNEL 7 (AUX 2).

Unless you find a way to control gain using Channel 5, you'll never be able to control the tail gyro gain in an AR7200BX.

-----

The original DX7 (the old one based on the JR XP7202 transmitter) would default to using Channel 7 for gyro control, but you COULD reassign it to use Channel 5.

-----

If you want to control gyro gain using the GEAR channel, that would be Channel 5, you'll need to enable the GEAR channel in the transmitter. Gain will be selected using the GEAR switch on the TX, and you'll set the gain using the GEAR channel endpoints. As such, you'll have one gain for Heading Hold mode, and one gain for Normal mode, depending upon the position of the GEAR switch.

-----

If you are using a JR X9303 or X9503 transmitter, go into the DEVICE SELECT menu, and make the GEAR SWITCH setting say "GOV". Doing so will turn on a GOVERNOR menu in the transmitter, allowing you to select a different governor speed setting slaved to the position of the Flight Mode Switch, and the values dialed into each of the GOVERNOR menu values. Numbers between 0 and 100 put you in Heading Hold mode, numbers between 0 and -100 put you in Normal/Rate mode.
