Hey guys. Just wondering how many here came to the beastx/ar7200bx from a vbar or msh brain. I currently have been flying vbar but I need a new controller and thought about trying beastx. I understand the setup is quite different. Can anyone shed light about the beast vs msh brain or vbar for 3d flight? The vbar setup is AWESOME. But, I can't help but wonder about some of the new features than an ikon or brain has making vbar feel outdated. Any input is appreciated.

I think this discussion has definitely happened before on here, but ill share my experience. I have uset the Ar7200BX in all my helis small and large and i have really liked it. The ease f setting up and making changes is simply the best. I would say that is where the AR7200BX has a great advantage, even for a beginner, it is much easier to set up than a VBAR / Ikon.

So I just got my first VBAR and its in a Trex 600e DFC. I really like the amount of tweaking the software allows. It was however much more difficult for me to setup and i noticed the Vbar was much more sensitive to vibrations. I would have to say the pirouette ability of the Vbar is better / more consistent, it is more "simulator like." This is the one area i feel the VBAR has an advantage. But honestly I really like the BeastX system. Its really hard to beat the simplicity price and the flying characteristics. I think it depends on you flying style, if your a 3D madman and need intricate control over every little parameter, the vbar is going to be better.

I still really want to try an IKON myself, but at this point i still really like the BeastX. But this is just my opinion, and i do intermediate / advanced 3D but im no pro.

Isn't your VBAR a black sensor one?

That will be more sensitive to vibes. The blue and sliver lines are not like that. That sensor is also at least 2-3 years old...

@Soulrider Do you have any youtube video's of your 3d flying? I would also consider my self intermediate 3d at this time. I'm looking to put in a lot of flight time this summer and want to have all my gear situated come April.

Nah. I'm gonna get some this season though. I have a few stills... but they're not much use to anyone.
