I doubt there are any other Heli or Planker forums, where one has the Chief moderator joining in on threads, how awesome is that?

Watch this show. There are parallels in our little hobby world.

In the end it will be a zero sum game.

Are you entertaining the "Like" concept?

The "like" concept would be stupid for a place like this. All it would do is take up space and needlessly inflate post counts. And, some people get off on that, so they'd use it everywhere.

selective enforcement

HeliNutAndy

selective enforcement is every where i could tell you some story's that would have you rofl i had to go to a lot of forums until i found 2
that i think saw what was going on and tried to help
rr and hf

all i had to do was keep my text shut when ever a rock was thrown

so my advice if someone ever disrespects you or tries to make you angry
keep you text shut and contact a moderator and if by chance nothing
is done to the abuser let it be give it time those guys that go around with the angry attitudes that like to bully people dont get far the angrier they stay the more they lose lol

forgot to give you credit agreed.

Here's the thing with what is being called selective enforcement: It's the absolute best way to manage human beings. I hear this complaint all the time at work. Here's the problem with it. Machines and computers need to be managed consistently. Like a digital AND circuit that requires two highs in to give a high out. Or, a 5mm socket wrench that needs to be, wait for it………..5mm's Our tools need to be accurate and reliable in order to give us the results we asked for.

People on the other hand are neither digital or even analog. We are a vast array of seemingly random and diverse strengths and weaknesses. This variability can at times be a weakness when it leads to the rise of human error or communication breakdown and conflict. Still it is also our greatest strength as it gives us the creativity and ingenuity to solve complex problems with uncertain variables. To want to lead or manage humans with a digital "if this then that" model may seem ideal or expedient for our leadership; however, it ignores the facts of our existence and need to be dealt with as the individuals we are. This is leadership IMO: the ability and willingness to get to know and understand our charges and deal with them in the manner on any given day that ultimately provides the largest return on investment for the venture at large. Two different people or even the same person on two different days will respond to or need two very different types of leadership from his fellow human beings.

@ HF the Mods have 'herd mentality', the owner acts toughie or rather stubborn like a HardFreak

That's cool Mark.

One concern though...This is about the fastest loading and operating site I use. That's because it's not bloated with a bunch of unnecessary stuff...Like pictures and animated signatures. Or a bunch of links within every post...like Quote/Reply/Quick Reply etc etc....

RR works like a bulletin board is supposed and not alike a Facebookie type site.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Yeah, that is one of the reasons why RR works so well.
I get the Facetube sorta forum, but it will be a pain to load on my phone when I am away from home just wanting to check out whats new.

Let me be clear about something...back on topic...

I am NOT bashing HF.
The site works well for the people who use it.
I hope it continues to work for those people for years to come.

I simply don't fit in their mold

I literally never use the word literally right.
