Let's say I order a filet mignon at my favorite steakhouse. Just as I start eating it I decide to order a side of roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and sprinkled with parmesan. Does the steak taste any different? Of course not.
If I decide to eat the asparagus, can the overall experience be better? Sure... but it fundamentally does not change the steak.
I'm not so convinced....

You're going to tell me that if I give you a side serving of a lightly char grilled Bhut Jolokia pepper with a heat rating of 1,000,000 SHUs (U.S grade pepper spray starts at 2,000,000), you are going to enjoy your steak just the same as before? LMAO!! You'll be rolling on the floor screaming like a baby!

Does eating the pepper fundamentally change the steak? Of course not! But does it not change your perception of the steak?

Is the brain not a relativity engine? How do you know hot from cold? How do you know too much gain from too little?

Steady there, my steak loving friends. This thread is a celebration of the circus that was 2013. There's no need to erect a brand new tent for some of those same old clowns.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

This thread is a celebration of the circus that was 2013.

ya got a few of my things here "never look at a wide open space", "blue gas", "Chime in", "Freeze a puffy",
My bet is we'll hear from him before this thread is done.
And that's why they are on my ignore list.. RR became a whole lot better without their posts in my life. This isn't a quote, just a fact.
aww. fyi, if you have me on ignore you're missing out on some doozies. "ignore" takes out everything to do with a rr member don't it? like they don't exist.

Any of my early gas bubble incoherent hyperbole should fill this thread with "blue gas", ahh but it's a fine line between genius and insanity.

(you don't know how hard I'm laughing right now).

have a slice of meat pie, mmm mm goot

It is more like the steak comes and then they tell you the knife and fork will be extra.
Now, some would pay for the knife and fork, others would just pick it up and start gnawing on it. Tastes just as good both ways but there's a difference in class.
The key is, you all need to read what the issue is and not be changing the argument to something you can make a thus meaningless point about.

Bob, would you have the same appetite for the same dish if it were served in a dump by an unwashed, unkempt, mentally deranged, filthily dressed, ex con degenerate? rather than if it were served in the utmost of fine diners in the most expensive city on the planet?

This will be my last post on the V-Bar subject, but according to your description you think or assume the flight performance is different between the software levels. If this is correct, then I need to add you to the "have absolutely no idea what the heck they are talking about list". You are so far off target that I would politely ask you to not participate in any V-Bar discussions, as you will most likely drop the IQ level of the conversation to negative digits.

If you don't know what you are talking about and do your best to help others, that is one thing. However, if you are completely making up things so that you can post in a thread, all the while knowingly misleading and misdirecting people who are genuinely looking for correct information, then you should not be posting on that topic. Period.

Sounds like someone had Cheerios this morning, but then decided to order a side of piss. Does the piss fundamentally change the Cheerios? No, but does it change your perception of the Cheerios.... Absolutely!

I assure you I can substantiate what I said. But it would have been far less cowardly to challenge the statement in the thread in which it was made.

Might I suggest doing some research before commenting on a topic. The quality of your posts would increase dramatically.

What really amazes me of late is how we can take a tame thread like this one started out to be, and turn it into essentially a shouting match between two people.

IMHO, this is supposed to be a fun hobby (informative also). I just wish it would stay that way.

However, I did like the references to the yogurt and the spotted dick.
