Hey guys I just came across the rjx servo on HD and it looks pretty nice. I'm just curious if its rebranded. I want the outrage but man I could prob save 50 bucks by getting the RJX. It's going in a rave 90 nitro tail. Any suggestions please?

If you look at the classifieds as an indicator of pilot satisfaction and product performance, you harly EVER see Torq servos listed.

The RJX servos are relatively new, but the brand and manufacturer are not.
You will find relatively good reports on the lineup as a whole.

And to add support for the RJX products, they OEM for some other well known lines.

I'd at least check out the RJX servo. I think you 'll be impressed.

I have torq's in my 770 and rjx in my g500. If I were to build another heli I would buy rjx. Not that my torq's aren't awesome, but the rjx is a better value. IMO

I have had the same set of Torqs in a 600 ESP, Fusion 50, Rave ENV nitro and finally in my Rave Ballistic. Lots of crashes, no stripped gears, run fine and plenty fast on 2s LiFe. Having said that, my ENV now has a Futaba BLS 256 on the tail and it is pretty nice as well. Most people with Futaba BLS servos report outstanding service life and very few problems. RJX are a great price, but not brushless. They may not last as long, but the spec they have with 2/3 the price of the Torq or Futaba make them a very tempting choice for me as well. Right now, I'm ust sticking with stuff I know has an excellent reputation for quality.

Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

Laughingstill is exactly right save some headaches and just get the futaba. I have had the torq and none of them have crashed well. I have 3 sitting in a drawer now that all that happened to them was 1 crash each and done. I have 2 helis left with them and when they crash they are out. I went to the futaba hv tail servos which I think they are the bls 256hv if I remember right and both have had crashes and the tail stuck in the ground. They don't have full metal gears but all I did was put in an $8 gear set and they work again. That is a lot cheaper than a $125 servo everytime. The futabas are a lot smoother too. All my outrage servos sound like they are grinding up some hamburger for dinner. Cheap aint always better. It usually ends up costing the cheap price and then you spend the money for good stuff so you spend almost double.
