i had a similar issue a couple days ago

the tail was not spinning fast enough to cause the tail to blow left

so i checked the torque tube and found it was slipping the tail was not getting up to speed.

does your issue look like this ? advance to 3 minutes

Watch at YouTube

Watch at YouTube

now its fine

Kyosho Concept 30 SR. The tail drive is a 2mm diameter wire. The front end is bent into a loop, that loop fits into a slot in the front drive gear (much like the slots you see in a Trex torque tube front drive gear).

The front end of the wire is not going to slip as long as the tail boom is properly seated in its mount.

The rear end fits into a hole of a metal adapter which drives the belve gear into the tail rotor case. There is a 4 x 5 mm set screw that fixes the shaft to the adapter. This set screw must be tight. I would grind a flat on the wire to allow the set screw to get a decent purchase on the end of the shaft to prevent slippage, when I owned a Concept 30.

Properly assembled, the tail rotor system on the Concept 30 did an excellent job of keeping the tail where it is supposed to be. It "blows" the tail properly...well, not really blow, but as with the main rotor blades provides adequate lift to drive the nose left and right, to counteract torque, and to keep the heli pointing where it should.

For the record, if BENT is still listening:
ok guys I respect everyones response but think we need to finish this up.
the following is where Im at.

when I give the stick right rudder command the rod pulls forward and the tail slider goes in towards the T box, if this is right just say yes or no thank you
You are HALFWAY THERE. With your heli properly assembled, RIGHT RUDDER STICK command must make the tail rotor servo PULL the TR pushrod forward.

The other half of the equation:

Pick up your heli, turn its nose to the LEFT while watching the TR servo. It MUST pull the TR pushrod forward, too (as you need right rudder command to counteract a leftward yaw motion). If it does NOT pull the rod forward, flip the NOR/REV switch on the gyro body. The gyro will now tell the servo to PULL the rod forward when you turn the nose to the LEFT.

Blades need to spin CCW when you are facing the rotor. Pay ZERO attention to which direction the rod is going. The TRAILING EDGE of the blade should point in the same direction you move the stick when standing BEHIND the helicopter. if not, reverse it. To check gyro, hold rotor head in left hand and boom in right hand. shove the tail out in front of you, which way do the blades move? Again, the TRAILING EDGE should move the same way you shove the tail, this would mean that air would be coming off the trailing edge to counter the force on the tail. This is a basic and fool proof technique. Remember it, write it down, make a youtube video..... If you dont know this by your second heli setup, this hobby is not for you.

I'm not cut out to be a brain surgeon and I know this, so I leave that to the pros.
