The heli is in the same range as the G500 (have no scale but lifting it makes it feel similar). Only thing that gets me is that even with similar weight, same electronics, same blades ... I am able to pull between 6-8 Minutes with my Cell compared to 4-5 Minutes with my G500. Again - same electronics (except different FBL systems) and same blades.

So from the pictures it looks as though the linkage rod going from elevator servo to swash is a different length than the others. If this is correct what is causing the obstruction that requires the geometry to be this way? Hard to tell from the pictures how the below the head geometry is exactly laid out. Are their any better photos of the below the swash geometry?

Thanks for posting all the pictures thus far too

Yes they are different length. Since they are placed directly under the swash there is no geometrical issue at all. I Checked swash at center and lowest/highest input. All level.

The elevator servo is placed with servo arm on bottom while aileron and pitch servos are placed with arm on the top. Thats the reason for the different length.

When setting them up I did (as explained in the manual) bring the servo arms in 90 degree angle and based on that adjusted the linkage length leveling the swash and making the FBL arms also be at 90 degree angle.
What you get with their design is great access to the servos and their screws at any later time for maintenance/repair.

you cracked me up esmoglo

Yes they have been in Christmas spirit. I even was amazed ordering directly from Kontronik I received the stuff within 3 days to the US. Could not believe it went through customs that fast.

The combo of using the Jive 100LV with Pyro 600-11 is a great fit for this machine. However if I would place a new order on electronics I might pick the Jive 100LV with Pyro 600-09 (910 kV motor) and use the 18t pinion for even more traction on the belt.

Anyone thinking about their electronics my recommendation is a motor in the 900 - 1000 kV range. Seems a better fit to be able to use larger pinion for better traction. But thats just my personal opinion.

Great video.
I am able to pull between 6-8 Minutes with my Cell compared to 4-5 Minutes with my G500.
Wow! That's saying something about drivetrain efficiency right there.

Same headspeed?

Yes similar in head speed. G500 is just not as agile at 1900 so that runs at 2000 lowest. Running the G500 I can pull off about 5 - 5:30 Min at 2000 rpm. The HD 500 was mostly running a mix. Most time 2300 and to some point running 1900 and 2600.
That was amazing to me. My system is setup to tell me the mAh usage. So I was wondering how long I can fly. the 7:45 min I pulled with flying a mix under very windy conditions flying a mix while mostly running it at 2300 rpm. On my G500 I get up to 4:30 on 2300 rpm.

Also interesting about it is that I use almost same electronics and blades (since I detroyed my blades in first take off attempt lol). Only difference in electronic setup simply is the different fbl system. The G500 uses the vbar while the HD500 is equipped with the BD3sx.

Don't know why I didn't tune in to this thread before...maybe because I was not familiar with what an HD500 Cell was.

At least I missed the bashing...hopefully!
I'm glad that didn't run you off.

Looks like a nice design. Several times during your build pics I saw things that reminded me of TDR-like design features, so it was interesting to read your comments comparing to TDR & Diabolo.

Good job on the pics & video also.

Do you know if they are planning any larger helis?

I'm curious, im4711, what is your relationship with this heli's designers and distribution? The overflowing praise, claim of having the first kit in the country, and shouting down of anyone with any criticism sounds like you are a rep or have some other financial interest.

Bashing???

It does seem like a fair/reasonable question. It is not bashing to ask if the guy has any financial interest.

If he paid full price, and is not getting any thing in return for posting all of this information, it is an easy question to answer and he should not be offended.

If he is compensated, I don't mind it, but it is nice to know.

Grow up, OH. Asking someone if they are a rep is not bashing. It is fair to ask if we are being sold something since the reps always gloss over or deny any problems that they might have as opposed to an end user who paid retail who will give a fair review. Some people (like me) are considering buying one of these, and if this is a real end user then the feedback is valuable. If it's a rep then it is significantly less valuable.
