Now all they need to do is get it down to a size that will fit in everyone's garage and anyone can do it!

yea, that was done in Toronto at a place called Downsview. It has a heli company operating a hangar across the road. Spent some time around there a few years back.

Good they showed some crashes, coulda been better but no one can tell you.

that was really neat...now all they need is a quad rotor controller to stabilize it

crazy to think how close to the edge they were when it comes to strength to weight on the whole thing just to pull it off...hats off to them for winning the prize.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Super job done by the team.
At one time, any kind of helicopter looked impossible and the math was there to prove it. Now, human powered. The heli in the video reminds me a bit of the Wright Flyer.
It will be cool to see where it goes from here.

Very cool and I hope they develop it further with maybe smaller diameter high rpm rotors and definitely a lighter cyclist!

Also he didn't seem to be working very hard so I think it could afford to be heavier and thus stronger.

60% of the time, it works every time!
