Have you contacted the service center for your region for parts?

I had the same thing happen to me. I was going to send it in for service to get the pots replaced. $100 for all to get replaced.
But I decided to open it and take a look. It turned out that the little tiny connectors that hook onto the PCBs with the pots on them were not stable. I could wiggle them a little. So I used hot glue to keep the connector snug and in place. That fixed it. While you're in there, do the same for the left stick.

Had the same thing happen to mine,But just bit the bullet and sent it back to Futaba.I tried the simple fixes, and realized that I didn't want my 2000 dollar investments, and possibly personal injury flying around on a "fix".The turnaround isn't long and your radio will be good as new.Besides it could be in the pot itself and not the connections.Send it back, they will more than likely replace all pots and just charge you labor.

it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission

just got this reply back from ripmax (uk service agent)

Bad calibration of the T8FG joysticks is usually caused by poor connections between the plugs and sockets that connect the joysticks to the main circuit board (T8FG SUPER does not have this problem because all of the connections are soldered).

Try plugging and un-plugging the cables that connect to the joysticks a few times to clean the connections, then recalibrate.

We often remove the small JST type connectors and hard solder the wires. This will give a 100% reliable repair but it's not an easy job to do, unless you are very competent at soldering. I don't think that replacing the joysticks or pots will give a lasting repair.

not sure what to do now!
i may just send it in

If your 8FG has the Futaba white pots, they are probably not the problem (unless you dunked it in the ocean or flew in a sand storm or some such). I would believe Ripmax. So you could find an "electronic technician" and solder the wires or send it back to Ripmax.

If under warantee you should of course send it back.

It's probably the crimps of the wires at the connector pins. So plugging and unplugging several times is not going to get the job done. But sure try that first.

still early days but i hot glued the conectors from the main board to the gimble and the potentiometer board and it does seem to be holding fine, time will tell.

at least it does confirm the diagnosis and i now know the proper solution.

thanks guys !
