I'm not going back to work until after Christmas.. I'm even growing a beard. If the wife had not stopped me last week.. This would have already been Assembled.. Going a little stir crazy from being on leave and this is only the beginning of week 2.. Lol. I have a trampoline to assemble.. And lime-a-Rita's in the fridge

Fly them?

So, you don't fly your helis? you just build them and look at them?

you got to realize, most of us in the US have these things called seasons. which make year round flying almost impossible. I would love to be flying, but the last 3 weeks its been a high of around 5F to 15F most of the time well below zero wind chills. lets see you fly in that!

Team Synergy, Team FBL Rotors-------if its not broke...it will be!

Its still pretty warm here in Georgia, I just am busy all day and by the time I am not, the sun is down and its cold. I see why guys have a bunch of heli's or planes though, once you are done building you kind of miss it. I do fly mine a few times a week, which is pretty fortunate, a lot of people don't even get that in

Scarey Thought!!!!

I have never been in that situation!!! I think I would go into witdrawal!!
I have enough projects in the shop to keep me building all year..including spring, summer, fall, and winter!!
I made it almost all if 2013 without buying anything new...but then, I did say almost!!!

Craigdieslemac,

Take that thing and wire in a pigtail with the connector of your choice. Plug in a 6s5000 pack and that thing will haul butt! My niece's and nephew's wont ride theirs with the stock battery anymore...too boring. You can always go back to the stock battery if you leave the stock connector on.

I have let them go for 20 mins and it only took out around 3000mah. I try to limit how much weight goes in the jeep though. The motors handle it just fine with one of them driving, but they start to heat up when two are in it. I did eagletree it at first and it would spike to 30amps when the peddle is pressed then settle down to around 10 amp pull when riding on level ground. Going up hills, grass, etc...will up the amperage. I use an old 4s6000 when I can't watch them the whole time. It is much easier on the motors with an increase in power. Pretty funny watching them do donuts in the driveway with it

What do you do when you have no heli's to work on??
So far I haven't had that issue. I can always find something to do to them.
But if they were all 110% with no mods or upgrades to be made I suppose I would play the lotto, cuz the odds of everything being a 110% with no mods or up grades to be made are very high!

Remember to keep everything balanced!

I have the same experience with Compass models as Ron has with his Logo's. In fact, I decided I needed more to details for tinkering, so I built a nitro model. Finished it, so, I built a field box. Working on it now. I have to tinker, and my Compass models never need anything!
