I have crashed many a Logo, never had electronics be destroyed. Maybe a stripped gear but that is with any Heli.
Worst I have done is break a landing skid tab off, by slamming it down on the concrete pad while first learning to hover.
Fixed it with a little alum L bracket, and still flying it.

Also broke the battery tray on a 400 when it went in nose first...
I've crashed em quite a bit and haven't broken a frame yet.

If you use plastic bolts for the skids and plastic bolts for the canopy stand offs the frame will survive the same crashes a carbon frame would.

Merely adding to these comments and questions Bob.
How old of design are the logos platic blade grips? The current logos selling at full blown new pricing seem to have the same blade grips as my old logo 20, crazy pitch arm flex and all lol.
Grip pitch arm flex???? Definitely not the same grips...

I have to say that I am 50% on that one. I broke the frames twice with the nylon bolts, and survived twice with them as well. I think it still matters how you crash but with the nylon bolts you have a much better chance of not breaking the frames in a crash...

30 years

Hey, they're getting there. All aluminum head block now. A couple metal grips would go a long way. Of course, they're the most difficult to make well. A few more years maybe...you never know.

Under download section is the manual

http://shop.mikado-heli.de/LOGO-480...2&c=7422&p=7422

Check page 5.

If you are still struggling the bolts are M3x16.

I know this starts arguments but it took all of 2 minutes to find the information on the Mikado de website.

Cheers,
Merry Christmas.

Here's some black ones. They don't stand out so much like the white.

You can boil them to make sure they aren't brittle. Better for those medium hard landings.

I wouldn't use them on the 480. Pretty easy to replace the bottom plate, and probably cheap.

If you have ever flown a logo with a flybarred head using the logo plastic grips as I have, you with then come to realize how sloppy they are with the flex in the pitch arm, it just wanders all over the place. The reason it is not so apparent is because of the flybarless unit, it is working like mad to counteract the flex, probably why mikado wanted to do FBL so bad to fix their heli to fly proper. I had demonstrated in he past piro globes and with a full metal head FBL heli you will see the disc track true, but the plastic logo FBL head you can notice it wobble around as it wants to veer of course, but the FBL unit keeps it in line. But doesn't really matter to me, it's just a hobby and there are other options out there available.
