I have to start off by saying I blame Ian for all of this !! ... Your threads and build pics did me in! lol After no longer being able to hold out, I pulled the trigger on this project. It will be the demo we use for All-Scale.com and showcasing some of our products like the MFD screens, lighting, animatronic pilots, 3d printed accessories, and building services. .. There are a few projects I need to wrap up first, so this may not be a super fast build, but I did already start

Sooooo, not only am i doing an AS-350, but I talked Alan into starting a build on another one of these as well.

Power will be a Jaka PRO 5000 , unless the PRO 6000 is available soon, then I see myself going for that

Barry, This looks like the scheme I am going with. I have been looking for a AS-350 with as much junk hanging off of it as possible. This gives opportunity for more scale items to use, and adds "neat " factor .. at least in my taste. As another possibility, i may look into making it into a camo AS-550, but i really think I'm set on the Polair.

Ian, I'm sure i will enjoy this build very much! This is such a great canvas for going all out scale! Here's a recent project I just wrapped up for someone .. ( its 1/6 scale Tucano )

I got to see Bob's in Dalton, and nothing less then one awesome looking machine..

I like your paint scheme selection too.... very nice...

Only problem I have is with all those bits and pieces hanging all over it... I am certan everytime I would move it, there would be another piece being knocked off!!
I finally learned my lesson and pretty much anything I can mount with magnets is a GOOD THING!!!!

Stan, I totally understand on knocking pieces off! lol .. been there way too many times. I am actually planning on using small magnets to hold many of the external pieces on, with guide pins for engaging... basically, making them removable

The 1/4 scale size of this heli is on of the biggest appeals exactly because of the pilots you mention I already have

Took a look at your website... "WOW" is an understatement!!! Fabulous models displayed... Like copertcptn said, if you even get close to a finish like those, this machine will be out of the park!!!

Now, as to the pilots with the moving eyes... I can deal with the pilot moving, but the eyes do just freak me out!!!!! Cool stuff though....

It was my sons science project. We left it all moving in my wife's car several times in the mornings when she was off rushing to work. Every time i heard the terrified scream outside, i knew I had achieved the intended impression

I am working on another full scale with the moving eyes for our show booth display for the 2014 season. I hope it wont scare the people away however, lol
