Well I stuck on a Min Air Air filter on my spectra Min Air!
I found out I could start my Hanson without a choke very easily so I bought the Air filter they offer with a "Spectra logo" on it . Is there any power benefit over the Zenoah foam filter? Or is it just only the "cool factor" of looks . It sure looks cool. Also can they be cleaned and oiled and re used Like the K&N filters? They sure look the same from my car experience.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Power
There is about a 20 rpm difference between the stock filter and the minair filter. You can see this if you do full power climbouts and turn the governor off, with the MA you're going to be 20 more headspeed at the top end on average.

No need to oil it, the carb will spit some fuel/oil mixture inside the filter and make it self oiling.

I haven't tested it
I heard the Hanson air filter makes more power, but have not tried it myself. Its got a cone shape filter on it.

Raja,

You can tell a 20 rpm change by ear? I'm impressed! Sure that's not 200 revs?

I think he means headspeed which he verifies using the the GV-1 max rpm feature.

Yes
Turboomni is correct, the gv-1 max rpm feature is pretty useful

Went to the field with my new air filer and it was in the 40s with no choke!! Pulled the idle trim down and 3 pulls and there she goes.!!
I could swear she had alittle more power but it can be deceiving and the engine likes the cool weather. Works great and looks
