So, I have been watching the 3DX China tournament live broadcast. Its been mildly entertaining although not as good as the 3d masters broadcast.
So, I was wondering how many other US pilots are paying attention to this event?
Is it relevant in your mind?

I thought it interesting that there is a fairly good selection of helis there, but there are NO GOBLINS in the competition at all.

And with rain on day 3, I wonder how they will determine results?

The audio/video sync for the broadcast has been horrible for me, but the flying has been great!!!

Alon Barak was doing some really tight porpoise-like vertical figure eights and everthing looked really good.

The pilots are flying REALLY HARD and I am seeing a lot of crashes

I just wish that the time differential was not so great (exactly 12hours difference for me) putting watching the broacast late into the night.

Due to the time difference, the event is over now. The live feed left something to be desired. But, better than nothing. The rain delayed the event some, but they were able to complete it.

The "China 3DX" web site doesn't yet show any results. All I know is what I got from here: https://www.facebook.com/MikadoHelicopters

I don't think U.S. pilots much care about what happens outside the country, based on the interest (or lack thereof) I've seen over the years with other 3D Masters competitions. The manufacturers DO however care, as they solidify their market in other world locations by their pilot's standings and their product's performance at these events.

Dave,
Thanks for the response, and congratulations to you and Kyle for your hard work and results.
It would be interesting to hear about what happened to pilots througout the competition as far as how the rain, mechanical failures, or crashes led to scores changing from day 1 to day 3.
I saw a lot of incredible flying and I am sure I missed a ton too.
Hopefully there will be some good videos posted soon thay showcase the newest talent and moves shown there.
