I run the 14SGH for it's ease of use and lots of tech support if you need it. It's easily upgradeable through Futaba's web site and has telemetry if you're interested in that and has a multitude of rx's to choose from. It has S-Bus if you choose to run like that as well. I put down my 14MZ for this radio. That says a lot. A good wy to familiarize is to download the manuals n read through them. At least that's a freebie.

Are you ruling out Spektrum? The 18, 9 and 8 channel radios are very nice.

Yes I'm done with them for now. I'll keep my 11x for random usage but staying away from the remote receivers.

A local friend has a 9X and is a nice radio. BUT in no way compares with Futaba's signal protocol(s).
The 14sg is a very refined radio.

A better but more expensive step would be the new Jetti. The features and duplexing on those radios are over the top, sick!
Can't wait for them to introduce a system in the sub $800 range.

The JR XG14 is direct competition to the Futaba 14SG. No more Spektrum.

I tried Futaba's, JRs, now I got a Hitec Aurora 9 and this is the one I like the best! you can do anything with it.
Plus, Easy to Read 5.1 Inch Wide Backlit Touch Screen

P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

i went and ordered the hitec. i still have my 11x for now untill the hitec gets airborne and proves itself. i think all brands have thier ups and downs but i got tired of the remotes and cables. ive has some go bad. just too much stuff to worry about. plus the 11x never was comfortable in my hands. futaba i just cant figure out how to program. i used futaba 9z for years and once i went jr i couldnt get back into the futaba. hope i made a good choice
