Alright guys,

here is what I did over the last 2 days, which I think is not a lot... :frust: :frust: I don't know for you guys but I just stare at it telling myself ok, I gotta this and that bud don't get anything done

Ok so biggest thing I am happy about my progress, is fixing what bugged me the most about this kit; which is how round the nose is compare to the real one
p.s. seconded by the fact that the vertical fin is on the wrong side. ( I am working on that too)

Forgive me for the crooked mounted skid they are actually not mounted it is temporary while I get Mike's

Secondo, here is foot step for inspection of the rotor head (I still need to put some puty and fill the cracks.)

Here is some nose surgery:

Installement of drains tube and fuel cell vent:

Grounding plug for refuelling(which still need to get filled with epoxy aroung the tube):

ok so here is the last I got done, which I have a few questions about it for you guys. I started cutting doors:

So here is what I am looking to do. I want to smooth out the interior of the door and add the shape look the real doors the make the scale. Do you guys have ideas on how to do that?

here is a picture the give you an idea.

I know that the the 407 v2 from marvelcraft are already scale looking from the interior.

A lot of times we do nothing to the inside door panel, I was going to do the same with my 407 along with the shock to hold the door open and closed, just paint it, cause if u do all that work? You may have an issue with the door opening and closing it , also use vario door hinges for the doors... Rich

hey oh guys!!!

Finaly after a big summer of work I could get some work done on the 407!! I finaly got my mecanic and have been working on it all day and scratching my head to bolt it in the fuselage aswell!! did some detailing of the nose!! Can't wait to prime the thing up and lay some rivets!!!

I finaly have the impression that things are going forward!! Hopefully with days off here and there I can make it fly within 3-4 months from now.

Ok enough talking here is what I've done in 2 days( Which is still not as much as I would like to)

So here's the nose job; I am so thankfull from the guys on RR with Emile's thread on the 407!! So many good tricks!!

Here's a good one I found; using a pen end as a pitot tube :drug:

I've installed some magnets for the top cowling and cut it like Mike(Jestrr) told to do so I don't have to remove the rotor head all the time.

And finaly here is what I've accomplished for the wooden mecanic base. Still some work to do but most of it is done.

Here's what it looks like for now :dribble: that freaking landing gears bugs me so much since its super ugly but thats ok since I got a custom made one from Mike waiting to be crafted!! No pressure Mike I am leaving for a month in the James bay with the polar bears

p.s. oh and I don't know if you guys will notice but I fixed something I hated from this kit; the tailboom angle. I simply sliced 2 washers at the bottom screws in between the fuselage and the tailboom the lift the back end. It also helped me achieve the 5 degree rotor head tilt!

ok enough guys!! Hopefully I get a bit more done tomorow!
