Definitely a 500. Got one hanging from the ceiling. Canopies are hard to come by. I have one but as canopies go it is a junker.

Found a new canopy from MFA in the UK - so the restoration is viable

Not too sure of the cost benefit of these restorations - invest many hours for one or two flights a year ....

I already have four vintage helis (Heli Baby / Heli Boy / Mini Boy and the Hirobo Flat Bed Huey - and now looking at another project

Are there many of these flying?

Hope to have a vintage component to our annual Scale Fun Fly in Melbourne in March 2014 - to see how many other vintage models are around

Hi Jeff,

Yes there are still a few of these around - I also have one myself under restoration and conversion with a scale fuselage being fitted.

I would certainly recommend Nyloc nuts or thread lock on this machine so that nothing can shake itself undone.

And if you are interested - there is a page on facebook dedicated to these with some nicely restored machines on there.
