you'll forget about all this once you start charging with it.I have the PL6 and its awesome.

as part of the initial set up you may need to switch it to JST-XH mode,I think it depends on the actual board, although all may need to be switched .It takes about 1 min and once its done doesn't need to be re-set till you need it to,if ever.

Other than that, multiple batts done in 15 min or less(if you choose to charge at 3+ C)means so many more flights than the days of 1c charging.

Enjoy your new charger

PL8
I Sold mine after I left electric. Awesome charger. to switch it to JST-XH mode or alter other option you hold the left two buttons down. You also have a library of available presets. The manual is useless.

Got the charger today.
The store owner threw in a XH adapter.

He also upgraded the shipping to 2 day rush to offset the delay in shipping it so it arrived about the same time as it would have with the free shipping I had selected.

Class act for sure and definitely not the last time I do business with him.

Got two lipos jamming at 20A right this moment

Super nice rig but the manual is confusing as heck and it took me an hour to just get a charge started.lol...

It kept starting at 1.7 amps.

Finally noticed the "Accurate Charge" vs "High Power Charge" setting.

I've charged my packs at 3C a few times...30 amps.
Haven't dared 40 amps yet

30 amps is 16 minutes.

PM or post any questions about the charger or the manual. I'm happy to help and interested in feedback regarding the manual.

What would be a normal resistance in ohms while I charge my packs?

If I understand what I'm seeing...1.4 is the norm on all cells.

IR is relative to pack size. A larger pack will have a lower IR. 1.4 is pretty good for 5000.

2 is a good average, 1.4 like you have is "as new" condition.

+1 for the JST-PA connectors. Such a shame the XH connectors have become the most popular option.

Yes, switching to JST-XH mode depends on the boards you're using. The original Revolectrix boards do not use JST-XH mode.

Using the adapter board that they sent with the charger,I used FMA wiring.

Got my adapter cable from PRC today and now I use XH wiring.
It's way cleaner looking than that universal adapter thing and has to be less resistant.
