i've not shimmed the head or tail on mine
the tail has very little end float on the grips
as andy says the hirobo sceadu has a lot of movement but this is taken out by centrifugal force once the shaft is rotating and never a problem

the quick uk head grips on mine has a little free play in them
but like the tail its not a problem

with regards to removing the tail boom holder from the chassis it is possible as when i went from belt to torque tube drive i slackened the frame bolts that i neede to and just removed the boom holder bolts and the holder, it is a little fiddley but possible

and no play in the front gear shaft on mine

Absolutely nothing wrong with the stock boom supports, I just wanted the all black carbon look. What does make the the stock supports very rigid is the boom support bracket that comes with the X50e. I don't know why it only comes with the X50e, but it fits perfectly and makes it rock solid.

I also added the alloy frame spacers from the X50e that do not come with the nitro version.

Raptor 60 carbon boom supports much stiffer than the LOGO ones.
Now all that left is completing all the linkages and radio programming.

Paulo, Thanks for the pictures and detail.

Not putting things in the kit which are nice haves but not absolutely necessary is the aim of all bean counters in all industries.

I wonder if those extra frame spacers are in lieu of the engine mount; extra strength for where the battery sits.

quick uk no longer list them
but midland helicopters in the uk
have them in stock
the quick uk hirobo shuttle grips with the x50 bearings fitted will also work
the shuttle grips are the same grip with different sized bearings
and a higher price tag

Just completed the tail push rod, I do not trust the supplied push rod because there have been a few incidents of it breaking in flight.
I used two Dubro 4-40 push rods. I had to open the ball link and guides with a 3/32 drill, works perfect and will never break.

Leveling the swash with a laser might be OCD but it works very well.

Laser is on a flat table at the same height as the heli, It just helps getting the everything in a straight line and square with the links. More accurate than eye balling it with my tired eyes.
