I am tracking down an electrical problem on my Swift NX, and I think the CC BEC Pro is the culprit. I have a 2s LiFe pack laying around that I want to use to power my electronics on my heli to see if my problem goes away. The question I have is in regards to the voltage limits on my rx, gyro, and servos. They are all listed as 6v max. Is that 6v as in 5 cell NiCd/NiMh pack which would have a charged voltage approaching 7.5v, or is it 6v and nothing more. My LiFe pack has a charged voltage of 7.2, and it dosn't take long to drop below 7v. Am I going to have a problem flying my heli with this pack?

Li-fe power
Hi don't know if this of any help but I am using life on all my heli's now using various servos ( align, futaba savox) all rated at 6v and I have not had a problem with servos at all :-) . I use futaba receivers and gyros and all run fine with no problems. The li-fe back voltage drops to 6.6v quickly so you are not that much over.

Hope this helps.

It's not a binary world. For example, Robbe says that you can use 7.4 volts on BLS451 servos - if you are willing to take a 30% reduction in service life. I have seen tail servos burn up in less than 10 flights because the linkage was tight - on the recommended voltage (carbon rod bent to go through 3 guides).

2S works fine ! For how many flights ?

That's what I've been finding during my searches on the web as well. I know my servos will take the voltage, I was't sure about the Rx or gyro. Hitec tell's you straight out that a 6.6v LiFe pack will be fine on their servos, Futaba doesn't. They just say a 6v nominal rx pack is the highest recommended.

Open the CC PRO and check the output wires, mainly. I fly a gasser and the vibrations can and will break the wires inside insulation exactly where they come out of the casing. I added shrink tubing for further protection from such, while others just replaced the unit completely.

I also use a 2S A123 and regulate the whole system @5.4V.

The problem is in my BEC unit. No glitches in the controls with the Life pack. I will pull the bec and check the wires, I did notice that when wiggling the wires it caused a glitch. If that's the case I will repair them and use a little hot glue for a strain relief where they exit the case.

Positive input wire in bec barely attached. I repaired the connection and put hot glue around the wire openings in the case. Some of that problem may have been my fault, when I first installed it, the wires were a bit short and every time I unplugged the battery it would jerk the wires a bit. Some time ago I installed 2mm bullet connectors on the input wires to make it easier on me when I needed to remove either the bec or esc.
