Good quality chargers have a mode where it allows you to charge or discharge your packs to 3.83-.3.87v per cell for storage. A fully charged lipo is BAD. Very BAD. You can google the chemistry behind this if you would like. Just a fyi guys. ANY Lipo, LiFE. I am guilty of doing so at the beginning.

My two cents.

Also, store them in the fridge in the downtime. I have never ever lost a battery doing this since I started. Storage charged or not.

This is very true. I got out of the hobby for over a year. When I started flying again, the batteries that I put in "storage mode" worked great after charging. The batteries I failed to put in "storage mode" made great paper weights!
