At Ircha yesterday, I noticed one of the large ESCs in their booth had a cooling fan attached (looked like an Ice or Edge ESC). It looked like the fan was built into a different plastic housing on the ESC, replacing the standard plastic top. I really wish I would have asked but everyone seemed pretty busy.

Does Castle offer a cooling fan that replaces part of the plastic casing around the Ice/Edge ESCs? I know there are plenty of aftermarket fans I could rig up to the ESC, just wondering if there is one that is actually built specifically for these ESCs.

Great question as I need to get a fan for my ESC. Texas heat really puts the hurtin' on our electronics

.
There are many small 12V computer fans that can be had really cheap. Try your local computer repair shop. Just attach it to the ESC with a couple dabs of silicon glue and power it from your receiver battery, I doubt they draw much power. You could probably even plug it into an unused receiver port.
.
Even though the fans are usually 12V, they will just run a little slower.

Buy Cheap, Buy Twice . . .
