You should have bought another brand then...You'll not find any cheaper until IRCHA next year.

I literally never use the word literally right.

I think tower hobbies may have it. Not sure about the price, however.

Ps have you checked to see if you can pickup at Champaine from Hobbico?, don't look as if you are to far away.

If you purchase enough fuel to offset the shipping expenses buying direct is not too bad. There is a certain case volume that allows a break in shipping. For example, shipping 4 cases is very expensive, 6 cases may receive a break, and shipping 16 cases may not cost any more than shipping 6 cases. Therefore, ordering 16 helps keep the shipping costs down.

we (our club) used to make the 2 hour drive up to reno (hobbico distribution warehouse) and stuff a minivan full of 20+ cases. 4 cases/season was pretty typical for a seaon of flying for someone flying .90s. 7-8 guys could get up to 20 cases pretty easily. 'course that's back when you could get a case for $70.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Ordering 16 cases is not uncommon.

Of course this takes a financial investment, but that is exactly what an investment is, spending money up front to save or earn in the future.

Otherwise, support your local hobby shop on the investment they are required to cough up just so pilots can walk in and buy one gallon at a time and complain about the prices.

This year wildcat required pilots to preorder and prepay for fuel at IRCHA.

You shouldnt have a problem calling Wildcat and asking for prices. They are really helpful in making a fuel order and getting the best bang for the buck!

Wildcat was @ IRCHA. If you find their thread he specifically stated that he had an airshow to attend and all reserved orders had to be outta there by I believe Friday or Saturday morning. They were right next to the RC Bearings booth.

We were there from Thursday thru Saturday at 5:00. Fuel did not have to be ordered, that was just to ensure you didn't get left out if we sold out early. IRCHA did not put ours and several other vendors on the big board because we did not pay the Sponsor fee.
