Hey guys need a bit of help. Just started to fly my 550. If in normal mode it seems really stable. Any other mode it seems to move left and right or front to back then will be ok then do it again. Is this the toilet bowl effect? Would doing a compass calibration sort this? Could it have been the wind? (was quite windy i couldnt wait lol) The arrow on the module and the gps are both pointing staight ahead. Any tips?

Also another question: What i want to know is where u ment to glue the gps mount together? I read the book and it says too so i did but now i think i have messed up. If so where can i get a new mount?

HELP!

This helped me a lot when I set mine up!

Watch at YouTube

As far a glueing your GPS, I just glued the top and bottom aluminum pieces to the Carbon fiber rod and then used the supplied 3m tape to stick it to the top inline with the naza unit.

I would also calibrate the compass. When you say "normal" mode is that GPS mode, GPS attitude or manual mode? Check your gain settings in the assistant software and compare them to the above video suggestions
I hope this helps you in some manner!

Have fun!

Manual mode it seems fine. The issue would almost remind me of a gain being to high like when u get the tail swaying on a heli. Will watch the video

i think i need to clarify something. When i mean it can move left to right i mean like a seesaw and the same front to back but its not rotating thats what makes me think the gains are high and need lowered

I have found that the DJI recommended gains are a good place to start. The only disagreement that I have with them is the ATTI gains. I think they are too high and make the sticks very sensitive. I typically lower them but the Basic gains are fine.
