So I've been away from Helis for a while, but I occasionally fly quad rotors. I've been bitten by the FPV bug so I have been tinkering with this 450 flamewheel. I installed GPS and I am interested in preset failsafe. I picked up a AR7110 (because it was stupid cheap) and I'm wondering if I can use some its features to fit my needs.

I understand that this Rx has a regulator for high voltage cyclic servos and to keep your gyro's etc on a lower voltage channel. My question is in regards to powering the Rx with traditional BEC power. Can I just leave the long battery lead unplugged? or does it require that power be supplied to the Rx from this battery lead?

I am plugging in some assesories like LED lights for night flying and was wondering if I can just tap in to this battery lead.

Just wondering if someone can shed some light on how this thing works in regard to this.

thx

-Aaron

It needs to be powered through the main battery leads.

seems to work just fine being powered by an external BEC (with the battery lead left unplugged)
