Well, I'm looking forward to the weekend to try my next auto.

Man, I miss the eighties.

I never used auto bailout on a gov. But if youre not using that then never ever try and restart when the blades stop. Youre better off with it landing in a thud than having blades powering up.

negative pitch on autos

I always auto with -9 on pitch. Comes down like a rock, but about 50 ft from the ground I add pitch, about -4.Slows down a bunch. Then set up for your landing.About 10 ft off the ground add more pitch.Continue adding pitch at 3 ft till it sets down softly.Works great for me every time and plenty of head speed/energy to play with in case you dont get it just right.
Program your tx to auto -9 stick all the way down,0 at center and +10 stick all the way up.

I do it both ways. Like edwelds, I will let it fall like a rock, then
as he mentioned, catch it several feet up and glide it on in.

On the other hand, 2-3 years ago, they had a 'duration' type auto
contest. THAT was very cool to watch, and went home and started trying
those also.......lot of fun!

Im a fan of the slow auto from top to bottom, Its better if you can see the blades move and hear it on the verge of falling.
