Congrats to the World Hirobo Master but in my humble opinion; fat chance getting MRC to do anything for us peons in the USA. Noooo reasonable pricing coming out of that place.

I noticed that Ennio has flipped over the SSZ-V blade grips i.e. he is running trailing edge on the blade grips.

Looks like he is using a slight negative Delta angle on the grips.

Interesting. The pics I saw on Facebook of at least one of Ennio's models with the nose off showed a Kontronik motor, I presume a Pyro750. Unless Scorpion's are now red :)

I have to ask, why are you so negative?
Story to share: I have posted a WTB ad for the Sceadu EX and scoured the globe earlier this year looking for that kit. Sadly it was to late, the kit had been out of production for quite some time. Franky I missed the boat. And I searched very hard too. As a last resort I sent Hirobo in Japan an email asking if there were any around that they knew of, stashed, leads, whatever. About 3 weeks later I received a reply from Kimura at Hirobo. They had found a kit at a local mom and pop hobby shop in Japan. However this shop did not have the ability to ship international or did not want to get involved with that...as the story goes. But, Hirobo said they would acquire the kit from them for me and they did! Next problem was payment. Hirobo is a manufacturer and not set up to deal with the public. However, they did provide me their international wire transfer info as a very kind gesture. A stop in at my local bank revealed that it would be almost a $100 US for the transfer fee alone and no protection of any kind. Crap! Now what? And then I woke up..LOL. I contacted Don at MRC. Forwarded some of the emails that Kimura and I had sent and asked if there was anything they could do. Well there certainly was, he said they would take care of it and have that kit added to their next international shipment from Hirobo. Don and MRC stayed in close email contact with me. Alerted me when the shipment was in customs here in the US. I was excited! And shortly thereafter it was shipped to me in very short order. In the end MRC was able to reduce the price a bit, cover all shipping, and provide me with a top of the line Hirobo product. Now that my fellow Hirobo fans is customer service at it's very best if not unheard of.
Once again I say thank you to Kimura/Hirobo and Don/MRC with much heartfelt thanks! Job well done, above and beyond. You have a very loyal customer here.
Regards,
Mike

Indeed, even though I now fly for TT, I grow weary of the bitching about MRC when they have absolutely no control of what Japan engineers, develops, and ships. Frank and Don are good people. Furthermore, as a business owner myself, I can speak well to the concept of inventory on hand that simply will not sell. The ultimate factors for determining what comes into the US are driven by dealer demand and customer need. There are dealers out there right now like Experience RC and Heliproz who cannot give away their current Hirobo parts inventory, yet they and MRC still have to pay for it when it comes in as well as taxes on what sits on the shelf.
If y'all want to bitch, take it straight to Japan. Unless and until Hirobo gets on board with the concept of native electric models and other NEW offerings for the sport market with price points WELL under $1000 with well affordable parts prices, there is simply no way they will return to a mainstream brand with ongoing sales to support the kinds of kit and parts inventories and easy availability that you desire.

Mike0251's story is true. MRC went above and beyond with no monetary compensation from either Hirobo nor any additional monies from Mike.
Congrats to the World Hirobo Master but in my humble opinion; fat chance getting MRC to do anything for us peons in the USA. Noooo reasonable pricing coming out of that place.
How many times do any of the loyal Hirobo customers here in the US have to hear this? Pricing isn't up to MRC. It's Japan and the exchange rates, simple as that. Let me say that again; JAPAN & EXCHANGE RATES, Burn that into your brain. MRC=Good, JAPAN & EXCHANGE RATES=Reality.

In Mike's case MRC paid for the kit before it ever left Japan and like he said, Hirobo have no mechanisms in place to take money, they can't even take a Paypal payment. I'm getting really tired of seeing MRC getting bashed in print over nothing that they are directly involved with or issues that are beyond their control. If any of y'all knew 1/10 of the crap that goes on behind the scenes............Don didn't have to get involved, MRC didn't have to get this kit, there was absolutely ZERO profit in it for MRC but they did it to help out a loyal Hirobo customer who wanted the kit. So the next time you get the urge to bang on MRC, remember;

JAPAN & EXCHANGE RATES = OUT OF MRC'S CONTROL, MRC CAN'T SHIP WHAT HIROBO DOESN'T MAKE/HAVE

Understand?

Mike it's not like that @ all. Obviously I still and will continue to fly Hirobo. My gripes don't come entirely from MRC. I'm a SBO as well. My gripes stem from businesses that when contacted via email or phone or in some cases personal contact don't return calls or emails etc etc. I know full well that MRC can't offer what is neither developed or shipped to them for resale. But with that being said; they're our voice in the USA. They're our go to peeps. Without them in many instances things go flat. No more nor less is implied. Trust me. I get it.

This thread somehow has gone postal?

Ennio might have won the Worlds with a T-Rex?
The frame is only the starting point.
