Here is a video which I think matches the 450 video but is run with the pack it calls for..a 5000 mah 6S pack,,and it is all but twice as big.

That... Looks... Cool! Would be interesting to see how much they want for it and how less/more confusing the parts will be for it. I hate it when they have 2 or more versions of the same model, but each model has its own parts in certain areas. Wake up Align! Label each part with easy to find labels and include their dimensions so there is no or at least less confusion. Oh... and I hope that they will sell the head as a complete system with the swashplate included.

KnightofCarnage - Less confusion = Happy customer These parts should be readily referenced using supplied manual. Not everyone who has a T-rex has easy access to the .pdf manuals online.

The head is the current 450 dfc head. I'm guessing it has the newest spindle with the larger bolts and thrust bearings.

It would be nice if Align would list parts compatibility across Trex versions. I don't need each part marked though, it will just drive up cost. On the plus side, you can incrementalaly upgrade as you wear/break stuff

My 450 Pro is a mutt that started as a v1 and has basically crept up to a v3. Sure beats buying 3 helis.

If they get the frame layout right, we'll be able to enjoy this new heli for a long time.

Nice, I did the blocks after my bearings got notchy. You'll like the blocks if you ever decide to get them.

I hope they give the new frame a wide cg range and some wiggle room for future growth.

Anyone know if the motor will fit in the 450 Pro?

Very nice! Looks like a baby 700. Just when I got my 450 dialed into perfection. I'll have to bend my personal rule of not having 2 helis the same size for this one

Looks like the same head and swash (minus swash balls).

The battery looks like it can move back a lot. A wide cg range would be great for everyone.

the white parts seem to be adapters for old 450 v2 pro parts. The motor on top/battery underneath configuration appears to be the new norm. I like how the servos are on sides of main shaft but would that limit the servos to a specific depth or would they need to be spaced out if the backs hit. You'd have to extend the battery forward to balance the heli should the tail be lengthened at any time.

It's like a 500 canopy adapted to the 450l. What do you get when you shorten a 500?

Looks like all helis are borrowing from the boutique market in order to grasp a piece of the big pie, if it's whacha gotta do.
