I think you are looking to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and want to be offended! Get over it and move on.

FBL controllers
FWIW, I looked about at IRCHA last year and an incomplete and entirely unscientific survey showed about 70% of the FBL controllers were Vbars including Matt Botos' and one of the Helis being displayed at Curtis Youngblood's tent. Of the others, about 20% were BeastX or their clones, and the rest were a mix of whatever. There was an Align presentation in which the individual who who was giving the talk stated that their sponsored pilots were using the same 3GX as everyone could buy at their dealers. I have no clue what their official policy might be, but it appears that is no longer true. Anyway, after I saw what everyone is using, I bought a couple of Vbars and am very happy I did. Steve.

Or maybe the 3gx is so good, that even Align cant find one for poor Alan to use. So for now they set him up with a pos vbar to use..
I was wrong.. Align limits the use of there amazing 3gx for competitive flying, and the inferior vbar for demo purposes...

And yes, of course im kidding.
Although it seems that many knock and find blame in the equipment when it doesent work correctly. When its more likely the user thats the problem..

Its all earth!

Align sells a bone stock 550 that does not include a 3GX. It is therefore not misrepresentation.

Align kits without 3GX
Not just the 550 kits without 3GX. Other sizes as well.

Misrepresentation? The OP sounds like a drama queen.

And this is why forum communities are so important, if you can get to know people and trust their opinions, then I'll take their word over a company who is trying to sell as much stock as possible.

Ben Storick
The other pilot flying a 500e pro and 700e was Ben Storick. He is a competition pilot for Align. Just got back from the Zone competition (4th place). His flights were insane in that tight space with his 700e. Ben will be competing in a few weeks at XFC.

RCX Show
Guys, just to be clear we had Alan Szabo Demoing for us as well as Ben Storick. As Rocko points out Ben was using another flybarless system. But I can tell you that Alan was not using a bar system. He is using a prototype flybarless system for Align. So if you were their I said mechanics were stock in box. Alan or Ben at fun fly's use 3GX Flybarless system. Ben was not able to change back his system for this event due to just returning from Europe at the Zone.

As for what in the box both Alan and Ben use all Align supported gear, and yes some kits come without 3GX. So I think here the key is talented pilots. I know they did an outstanding job. Both Alan and Ben with any flybarless system could out fly most of us. There just that good! In the indoor area they were using the 3GX MR which is part of the Trex 450 Plus. Alan and Ben were able to put out the same performance as they did outside. Just a different size category with a lot of less watts on hand.

Also representing Align at the RCX show after all our demos you could come to the booth #420 and ask face to face what we fly. Nothing to hide or misrepresent. Align servos, Castle Controller, Alan's motor a 850 Dominator with his name on motor I clearly stated, and Ben using stock 800MX motor in the PRO HV version of the Trex700E HV PRO DFC.
