Hello all,
I have a really nice Bergen Interpid I purchased from Dood on this forum. Excellent purchase I must say! I have made a couple flights in normal and Idle up 1 and all has been excellent. I set up Idle up 2 today and performed a couple flips, loops, and slow tic tocs. Coming out of those maneuvers I seem to have what sounds like a wah wah and the tail shakes for about 1 or 2 seconds. Adjusting the gyro made no difference, so I believe it is a tuning issue. My question is what causes this? I went a little richer on the high but it did not seem to make a difference. I am scared to lean it out without some input.

Info on the Intrepid:
Headspeeds are N- 1650,I1 - 1700,I2 - 1800.
BH 3dmax 260PUH with a gear ratio of 6.92.
Penzoil marine 100%synth 32:1 with 87 Octane.

Thanks,
Mark

You may be overspeeding on the backside of your maneuvers, check your throttle curve, or consider a governor system with a Stator Gator sensor.

Chris,
The behaviour is with a cyg750 set to 1800 with a stator gator. Is there anything else you can think of?

Thanks,
Mark

Not sure if there is a menu on the cgy750 like there is on the GV1 (which is hidden), but if there is you can read Raja's GV1 setup and that may help to get rid of your problem.

+1, and redoing the throttle setup with the Malorie Method, will help as well.

I have my throttle set with the Malorie Method.
I am unsure if the cgy750 has the same hidden menu, but that is a great point.
I hope to explore that this week. Thank you all for your time and answers.

A slipping clutch can also be the culprit

Possibly, wouldn't hurt to check and clean the liner with alcohol if contaminated with oil or grease.

Thanks everyone. Clutch looks good, changed governor percentages in the expert menu like the menu in a gv-1, set throttle end points again, and set the needles to factory. Climbed out and flew some tic tocs with no issues.

if the sound is like the engine hunting as u lower the throttle coming out of manuvers or down shifting from idle up 2 down it may be the governor gain. lower it a lil bit like u would the gain on a tail gyro
