Man I love both. They are great options to have! I love the grab and go with my nitro. Simpler to me because of my hate of charging 12s packs. 700 electrics have their appeal too. Just fly the nitro first if you are going to fly both

I ended going back to nitro. I am not looking back yet, I am happy with the power of a 700 nitro. Both are cool, its just what you want and how much $$$ you have disposable..

As for 700 nitro airframes, I think honestly the OLD trex 700 nitro le/older versions, are the where its at now a days. You can find them cheap and they fly soooo well.

Sorry...

Electrics are awesome..No doubt but the things I said about nitro are absolutely factual.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Blocking. The "go to" cowardly move when someone is losing an argument...badly...

I'm fine with facts and opinions but seems lately everything turns into an argument of the minds .The way I fly, nitros seem to be the all around gig .
I like nitros more than electrics but I like anything RC related .Im doing the boat thing for a while and they are electric .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

I never left,
No reason to. But if your curious, you remember how it was. It is mostly the same. Maybe a few new larger 90 size engines to choose from.

I love the smoke and hearing the engine during pulls is really enjoyable. Its great for doing autos. Once its tuned, I typically leave it. Yes their is the oil, but the cleaning catches things you might have missed on preflight.

Flight times are great, no worrys about the timer going off. Do a pass to see how much fuel is left and continue on.

My opinion is I think electrics seem to get a lot of interest because of Internet sales .You can get any Heli or related product from micro to 800 size where nitros are limited on size and fuel access .I know there are some setups that require a lot on electrics but nitros have a lot of variables that effect power and can be more complicated to tune.People get frustrated with nitros learning curve where most electrics just need batteries and a basic setup and will have power.

Id say go for it Honda and I wont be to far behind. The most important thing I can remember about my nitro days is that I loved it!! Cant say the same about electrics. Have fun with whatever you choose!

I honestly think having both is a really good idea,
You can progress so fast on a nitro from the flight time.

What about brands? I'm really digging towards the whiplash nitro. I like the whiplash, avant, velocity 90 the most. Any other input on tthese or others? MA is made in USA so parts will be good. No bashing also on any brand. What brand do u fly and why you picked that particular brand for qualities?

Love nitro here I enjoy it ! refuel off you go .when I am done flying for the day I wipe it down . I know it is clean ready for the next time I go. Not a big thing to me to wipe it down. Just my 2 cent.

if you want a nitro for the fun of it then get a 600. the 700's fuel consumption are why a lot of guys go electric in the first place.

unless you want to go gas

which would be my pick if I could afford it

spending time, paying attention

My 2 cents , get a synergy n5c . It's a tough heli and a blast to fly. Check out http://www.synergyhelicopters.com and http://www.fblrotors.com for the best prices. Good luck .

I just picked up a used Trex 600 Nitro for a song, and put a IKON on it.

I then went to a FF. I took this heli only to tune it and maybe do a couple autos.

Turned out that over 4 days I flew the Nitro 4 times more than any other heli I bought. Why? It was just fun to fly, the noise, the smoke, the flight times, etc.

I looked at the 700 Nitro hard, but 7 flights for a gallon (or close) and I just couldn't justify it.

Oh yeah, the other 3 helis I own: Logo 600se, Logo 6003d and a Logo 500se. All with Vbars and set up perfectly.

Screw It, I'm gonna fly
Synergy E5, E5s and Logo 800 xxtreme
vControl and Neo
