Can anyone tell me the differences between these two radios other than two channels and the 14 sg using the fasstest technology?
How do the programming options compare?
How is the feel between the two radios?
Any known issues that need to be addressed at this time?

I saw that the 12fgh has been discontinued and that the 14sg is at a very reasonable price. Is it worth selling off my 12fgh for the 14sg with the fasstest technology?

Man, I miss the eighties.

Telemetry is the only thing the 14sg has over the 12fg.
14 channels for both radios (12+2) the 12 fg has lots more mixes and more powerful software and better pots than the 14sg.
My son has the 12fg and I also have the 14sg.

14sg has lower latency.

The 14SG can use the new S-FHSS system as well as FASSTest. Unless you are stuck on perhaps slightly better gimbals and more flexible programming of the 12FG, the 14SG is a no brainer IMO. If gimbals and program flexibility are your thing, look into the 12Z, 14MZ and 18MZ depending on your budget. Many good used 12Z and 14MZ radios to be found nowadays as folks upgrade to the 18.

It really depends on how much of the 12FG that you are now using. Do you use more than 5 points on your pitch and throttle curves or programmed mixers ?

The pots on the 14SG appear to be identical to the pots on the 12FG, 12Z, 14MZ based on the FCC internal pictures. The 18 MZ has premium pots. The 12FG may have two more ball bearings per stick.

How bad do you want telemetry ?

Robbe is now shipping their 12FG FASSTest tray radio. Futaba can't be more than a year behind.
