just thinking of the 800 in the air would be impressive.
The 700 is impressive in the air, more so than any other heli in the 700 class. Every time I fly my 700 I get comments like, "wow that thing is so big in the air" or "that thing rules the sky" or "what an impressive helicopter, so stable and smooth" etc.

Thanks for all the info - Helps a lot.

I currently also have a Trex 700N - How does the Logo 700 compare in size to the 700N?

Plus I am getting sick of the nitro and it's equipment and the cleaning afterwards

Placed my order finally

Logo 800 on the way - cant wait! Not that my skills warrant an xxtreme but just the size of the 800 and of course the build quality of Mikado made me want to get one

Thanks for all your input guys - Much appreciated!

phanliu, Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the Logo Xxtreme family. BTW, the Logo 700 dwarfs the T-rex 700N (I have one of those too).

KC, my 600 is my go to heli. I use it as warm up before flying my Logo 700 or Goblin 700. I really wish Mikado would produce a plastic frame for the 700 and 800.

Congrats phanliu.

I was thinking you'd go for the L700 but either way you'll be happy.

The thing I never liked about the L800 is how large the canopy & frame is compared to the tail boom. IMHO, If the tail boom was larger (thicker), it would look much better proportioned.

Not sure if you'll be at Al's helicopter fun fly in St. Charles but I'm sure you'll be at "Helis Over Rockford". I hope to make both.

hey Dave,

It's been a while since we spoke. If I'm not mistaken you were at the flying field in Lombard right? I think you helped me out with my Rappy 90 back in the days I was really going to get the L700 but was contemplating the entire weekend but just jumped the gun with the L800 instead. I know what you mean by the body vs the boom - I felt that too but let's see it in person

When is Al's Heli funfly? I know the one in Rockford is this coming weekend.

Let me know. Thanks.

REXXIGPILOT - Not sure if I would still want a L700 - I truly hope that I do not regret my L800 purchase

phanliu, you'll be tickled pink by how much attention the 800 gets at any flying field. My 700 gets plenty of attention, but the 800 is huge by comparison.

Well done mate, you will be surprised to see how user friendly the 800 is!

Is it me or this time the ground was higher than last time??

Main field is Pratt's Wayne west of Bartlett but occasionally I'm at Fullerton Park in Addison.

I've seen both L700 and 800 in person at IRCHA. They are AWESOME!!!

The 800 is just a 700 on steroids

Al's fun fly is 6/15 and Rockford's is 6/29-6/30

That L800 will be quite the attention getter at the fun fly's.

Love my 700 extreme. Just started finally getting full piros...kinda smooth not quite but at least I'm doing it..v bar rules..I seen a comment that someone would like to see if mikado made a plastic frame for 700 .. Wow. I wonder if they did that ,,what would it weigh..??

Landing Skids
Ok so finally got my L800 over a week ago and still in the process of building it - The width of the landing skids seem to be too narrow compared to the size of the body.

Does anyone know where to find some nice long and wide enough landing skids for this L800 extreme or maybe some wider ones from another helicopter - Not that it matters but just looks too skinny for the body.

Any inputs??

Landing skids
Just be careful. I don't know of any other landing skids for the 800. My 700 skids are fine .. Not sure if the 700 are the same as the 800.

They will work fine. Had mine for a year, three auto contests, hundreds of flights, no issues.

I use Velocity 50's on mine. They are exactly the same size, but a bit more rigid, and i prefer the look...

Miss judged the distance to the trees ..I began my turn to the right ,,was a little bit into the turn and whammmm,, hit the tres.. Bout 30 feet up .. Came down at least..tail boom hit first. Bad bend..cracked frame on both sides of the motor.. In three places on same both sides. Main shaft still good feather shaft still good. But after I totaled up my parts at Readyheli, I have a 550.
