I have a old Vigor and am trying to remove the fan hub off the engine but am having a problem getting it off. It has the two collets on the hub. What is the best way to get it off? I am replacing the engine but cannot get it removed. I am wondering if I need to get a new one and new collets.

Thanks for your help.

You need a fan puller. I believe JR makes one.

I purchased one of these universal fan pullers last year to pull the fan on my Vibe 50, but recently learned the owner passed away so I'd recommend contacting them before placing an on-line order.

You may need a puller.
Try spraying penetrating oil down the crankshaft threads/collet and let it soak then try pulling it off or tap it off with the handle of a screwdriver.

I would try to save the collets, they're hard to find and I don't believe anyone in the states has them in stock.
