Just recieved this the other day. I bought it from Edsel Labao. Thanks Edsel for the great helicopter, It will have a good new home!. It has been a little bit since I worked on a Miniature Aircraft kit and I forgot how nice they really are. Everything is so smooth and not a bit of slop or play to be found anywhere on the heli. Looking forward to getting this thing in the air.

I plan on using the Scorpion 4525-520kv motor with the 13 tooth pinion or maybe the HK-111 4035-500kv motor at around 2100/2150 head speed. I haven't decided yet on which one. It may depend on how much flight time I would like to get. I think the 4525 will have a little less flight time but also make more power than the 4035. Both should work out just fine. The rest of my setup will be:

710mm Radix mains
105mm Radix tails
MKS-HV cyclic and tail servos
CC 120hv esc
Spektrum AR7200BX receiver and fbl controller
Dedicated 2s 2100mah lipo pack for rx and servos
5000mah 6s 45c flight packs (probably TP or Pulse ultras)

It will be a pretty basic setup and I think it should work out pretty good.

Hi dchekas, I was looking through your Whiplash photos and I liked how you built the Y harness series connector right onto your esc with the ec5 plugs. Thats a great idea, It eliminates a lot of extra wires.

Yes, it works pretty well.

I've slightly changed my wiring since those pictures, it looks like this now:

I am running a BEC however, so your setup will likely be different.

Hi Guys, I finally finished up with my build and thought I would share a few pics of the finished heli. I ended up with 693 Edge mains and 105 Edge tails, MKS hbl665 HV on the cyclic, MKS hbl669 HV on the tail, CC 120hv esc, Pulse 7.2 2550mah RX battery, Scorpion 4525-520kv ultimate motor using the 13 tooth pinion and the Spektrum ar7200bx fbl controller. I only have 2 flights so far using some old Pulse 4500mah 6s packs that I had just to try things out with. I will be ordering some new and better packs for it soon. But so far so good and I think this will turn out to be a great helicopter. Russ
