The align basic kit comes with motor and main blades which makes it a better dollar value.

The 600 Pro also has a direct to swash servo arrangement verses the bellcranks and extra hardware on the radikal.

The 600 Pro also does not have that goofy tail servo linkage arrangement of the radikal.

The 600 pro also has a beefy tailcase and metal tail blade grips ( triple bearing ) , with metal pitch change assy.

The 600 Pro is the easy choice.

Trex 600 EFL

I had 2 EFL's last summer...loved them both...logged in hundreds of trouble free flights...and I fly fairly aggressively...not a crazy smack flyer but I do a LOT of piro stuff...the EFL flies awesome...

ended up selling them only to buy something new...but they are great..

I was never interested in the radikal e640 after reading how heavy and cheesy they are...I hate recommending anything Align...but between these 2 machines I'd say the EFL is not a bad choice.

I ran mine with a scorpion 4035 in one and a quantum 4135 in the other...made great power on 12s 3300's

here's an old flight i recorded early last year on one of my trex efl's

sorry...this has been posted a couple times already...but it's the only efl vid I ever took

Align all the way

parts are available everywhere plus less expensive to repair

the fact that only a handfull of shops carry Century speaks volumes.

The advantages the Radikal has over the Align are:-

It is designed to use 640mm main blades which when used in conjunction with a 700 class power system makes for a ballistic setup.

The 640 blades make for a better presence in the air than regular 600's.

Push-pull linkage is better in my opinion than direct-to-swash, crashing doesn't destroy servo gears.

The gear train is bulletproof you will not strip a main gear on a Radikal.

It doesn't have the DFC head!

It is great value.

Century is extremely well supported in Canada.

What he flies, people buy!

Good points above, I always consider 2 things first that might help you:

Are parts accessible for the heli you are going to buy?

Is there good online or local support if any issues or problems were to happen?

Align is a great company, but sometimes going against the grain can be good also. I like century, but you can always stretch a 600pro for bigger blades too.

I have never really heard anything great about the e640. But that being said I'm not saying its a bad heli. I myself would go the trex because parts are readily available anywhere. But the first thing I would do when I got the trex is change the head.

I have had or should I say dealt with both helis extensively. They are both good machines and I will not run down either. But I will say that the E640 needs nothing to be a great trouble free heli.As for the radikal being heavy and cheesy ??? What?? I am currently flying one that is stretched for 690's on 12s with a 700 class Hacker in it and it weighs in at 9.45lbs with the packs loaded in ready to fly ,I don't see that being heavy? They are a fairly bullet proof heli but so is the Align 600.I see several people with issues with the Align but as is most often the case mostly self inflicted by the owner as is the case so often. But I will say the E640 is a very good flying and solid heli that needs no upgrades. You can also install what gear you want rather than buying the Align and later changing it all again as most do. Both good heli's though in my opinion.

I can't say what one is better, I have not owned ether of them, but for me the servo/bellcrank system and larger disk area is enough to pull me that way

Both are good helis. But I will say this, when Century comes to market with a new heli, they are not BETA testing it on the public, then making bandaid fixes after a bunch of failures. Over the years I have seen Align release products in a hurry and then we have to find the bugs in their product... JMHO
Barry

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

Yes the first G20 had some issues for some people.I have a friend that had one of the very first ones and is still flying it and has had zero issues.I am on my second G20 with zero issues ,sold my first. All manufactures have issues but look at the 700 DFC electric thread.800 plus posts and they are still trying to resolve the tail vibs and snapping tail output shafts ect.I have a smashed up 450 DFC on my shelf due to there DFC links and now they have all new beefed up links but there was not a problem. We could go on like this forever but lets face it they all have there downfalls but I must say the E640 has been a good heli right out of the gate.I would like to see a few changes but they are not operational items.I do think the 600 pro was a fairly good heli out of the gate for Align also but now they have done there DFC thing to it
Take care and have Fun

if someone is going to point at any 1 brand they really need to do some research and look at all other brands,, boy the stories that are out there,,

my friend flies a top of the line brand (90's), and he had 3 tails blow off, and if you go back a few years you'll find there was another T.o.t.L. brand that also blew off tails, and other brands that had problems that went on for years,, and now there is another big name brand that flyers can't get parts for

please don't PM me asking names, I wont go there, do the research,

I say just pick your swill and stick with it, learn it's quirks so you can see problems before they accrue
