Can someone tell me what the max main rotor blade size can safely be on the 600 pro with dfc head?? Without there being in fear of striking tail rotor in hard flying conditions....

Thanks, Daniel

The stock 600mm blades imo... you may be able to squeeze a few more mm out of a set a blades but nothing worth talking about. I use 105mm rear tail blades and I can make them touch the main blades with a little pulling and togging

It is the heli and not the DFC head that limits the length of the rotor blades.

If you want longer blades, you need a longer boom as RDBill points out.

I don't know if they made the boom longer on the Pro, but on the original 600E, you cannot use the 623mm blades.

Just a thought.

it is my understanding that the Trex700 boom is the same diameter as the Trex600 tail boom. If the 700 drive shaft fits in the 600, I would think it would be an easy conversion?

Other than weight distribution, center of gravity.

It may be the same diameter, but doesn't mean it is the same length.

That is my Point.

I am talking about extending the length of the tail boom.

I believe the rail 606s are the longest a person would want to go.

Old post but a little info..

On the older Trex 600E and new Trex 600EFL PRO non DFC head, you can run 620mm/623mm mains with 95mm tail blades all day long and beat the hell out of it without issues.
With the older Trex 600E and newer Trex 600EFL PRO with DFC head,600mm/603mm mains MAX and don't run longer than 95mm tail blades. My buddy has 4 Trex 600N's with DFC heads running 620mm mains with 95mm tails and he takes the tips of the tail blades off every flight..Now he trims the tips of the 95mm tail blades so the mains don't touch...

Go for it..I never knew what changes the DFC head made until I got mine not long ago.I don't run my cyclic pitch as high as I did with STD FBL heads and the flip/roll rate feels much tighter..Its really nice when doing fast stops ect...
