On the instruction book it says I have to use a s-bus receiver to use the Futaba CGY 750 FBL system, is that correct?

Correct.

For those without S.Bus receivers, Futaba also offers the PWM converter.

No you do not need to use SBUS servos. As always, good quality servos are recommended (I really like the BLS servos) but they do not have to be SBUS

that's good news

I also see where some are using 3 channel sbus receivers just for the FBL 750 and hooking the other servos to another receiver, is that viable or is it best just to get the 8 channel and be over with it? By the way thank all of you for your help, that what I love about our hobby and runryder, we are people that are different and helpful, thanks

All you need is the 3 channel S.Bus receiver.

I use the R6303SB for all my heli's including flybarred via either GY701 or the CGY750. No other Rx is needed.

With the CGY750, all you need is a SBUS lead from the receiver to the unit. Supply power to the receiver and away you go. I use 2 leads into receiver and am running HV servo's all round.

All you servo's are run from CGY750 including throttle either using the CGY750 govenor or you can output the pure throttle signal to you ESC govenor.

Hope this helps.

No all you should need to use is a 3 channel SBUS receiver. You can use the 8 if you have it but on a nitro all servos plug into the 750 and on electric you can put the throttle servo directly into the receive or into the 750....depending on what you have for a speed controller and reasons (some of the new castle can use the 750 governer instead of the onboard one but that is a different discussion)

As an aside/BTW, you can even use the 3 Ch receiver with a FB model and the GY701. The 701 handles all the rudder and governor functionality via S.Bus, and then the three cylic servos can plug into the 3 PWM slots in the receiver.
