DSM2 transmitters are fully compatible with DSMx receivers. The system will bind and operate in DSM2 mode.

DSMx transmitters are fully compatible with DSM2 receivers. The system will bind and operate in DSM2 mode.

The two protocols are fully forward AND backward compatible.

The ONLY caveat is that if you have a DSMx receiver, you MUST use ONLY DSMx satellites with it (this includes your AR7200BX). If you have a DSM2 receiver, you MUST use ONLY DSM2 satellites with it. Do not mix receiver and satellite types in the same system.
