Hey guys,

Just wanted to thank Steve (Gorhambirds) for my awesome Cricket parts that I ordered.

I ordered 4 new bearings a main drive shaft/intermediate shaft and a brand new main drive gear.

They were packaged like heli parts you can get off the shelf!

Very very high quality. Thanks to him my project is almost complete.

If you're thinking of restoring one of these guys, don't mess around with suspect parts. My machine is like new now thanks to his hard to find items.

Thanks!!!

Nice

Wow that is a nice one. They look great all polished up. I spent way waay too much time polishing that engine. What really stinks is that I have to buy all the associated gear for nitro. Most of my fleet is electric with two others gasoline powered.

Nice work on the polishing. But if you want it to STAY looking good, at least put the screw in the tail rotor servo shaft so your servo arm doesn't fall off in flight.

Nice job MadGuns! She is a beauty. I also found an old Cricket in a second hand store in pieces. Without Gorhambirds help she would have stayed in pieces. He is great to work with and has top notch parts for this old beauty. I flew it last summer and she flew great!

I am abit envious though MadGuns,,,you got a Heliball Muffler!!! I can't seem to get my hands on one.
Congrats again!

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Mufflers and Screws

Yes you got me! I need to put all the servo horn screws in, and the fuel tank.

You'd be surprised sometimes how painless it is to get those hard to find parts like the heloball.

I get on rcgroups.com and helifreak.com and sometimes rcuniverse in the engine section. I post a wanted add for exactly what I want. Usually I get a response.

I think I paid 20 bucks for that muffler last year and it was new in the package.

Just got to throw those feelers out there.

I think Gorhambirds should piece together some kits.

That is one B E A U T I F U L work of art. Probably the nicest Cricket -- ever.

It would almost be a shame to fly it.

But if you do, make sure you take video and wear sunglasses!

Thanks

Thank you.

I want to start flying it sooner than later. I'd like to get some aerobatic video of it. I tried to set everything up so it would have some capability for loops and rolls, and whatever else I can force it to do.

Gorhambirds is the OFFICIAL source for new Cricket parts!

Thanks Steve for keeping the parts in production!

For anyone who doesn't know, I can vouch that Steve has the only known set of the actual original, hand-drafted by John Gorham himself, GMP Cricket factory blueprints.

Gorhambirds is the REAL DEAL!

Very cool!!
