I have wanted to get back into helis for quite some time now and i still have century products in my brain. I learned on a hawk, had a hummingbird and a predator gasser. I really like the looks of the radikal, just cant decide between the n or the e version. Im sure the radikal is a decent bird right?

I can speak only about the N640. My experience with the heli has been good so far. The heli performs well. I am sure that the "e" version is the same. Best of luck on your decision.

I am mostly gas. But, I picked up a used 640 and really like it. Has a lot of the same good Radi design in a smaller lighter package. I do not run super high head speeds. But the drive line will handle it. Same guy had the "e" version and it had a good quality sound and was slamming around the sky with the align and Gaui birds. I like building the Radikal, parts a easy to get and not everybody has it.

I've always had nitro birds so I'm kind of curious about the electric. What are charge times for batteries? How many batteries do people keep for each heli, etc. Would I need to have a larger charger for these big LiPo packs? Lipo's were just becoming popular when I left the hobby, but they had alot of issues with bursting into flames. Is that still an issue?

I see most of the brushless motors and ESC's are pretty much more money than an OS50 and muffler, just seems that E helis are more money in the long run.

Lets just say you can still buy a lot of gas for the cost of a pair of 6s batteries. I stay with the 3s stuff. Fairly cheap now days. But, yes the large machines have big batteies and big chargers. With that said, the big electrics are fun to fly...

I love my N640, you cannot go wrong with that heli. I am about to order an E640 to compliment the nitro brother. A local friend has had good luck with the G20.

Later on I wouldnt mind getting a G30 with the newer 29cc motor.

Keep an eye out in the classifieds too, I have seen a few E640's for sale at great prices. The sale that Century had on the G20 was killer too.

Oh i agree with you gearhead 100%.

I wouldnt mind another gasser. I got lucky and bought my predator gasser from one of century's first shipments when it came out and it definitely turned heads when it started up. But damn was the first flight scary...lol
