My girlfriend is getting into the rc hobby. She is having a rough time and over-corrects a lot. She has been doing sim time and got a chance to do her first real flight yesterday with a buddy box. I think she is progressing good and I am proud of her for not getting discouraged.

That's awesome that she wants to learn. You are not doing the instructing are you? Speaking from experience it might be better to have someone else do it for the sake of your relationship

I can hardly afford the hobby for myself, I couldn't imagine buying stuff for both my wife and I.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

That's great that you and your girlfriend can share the same hobby. The biggest thing will be keeping her interest and don't let her get discouraged.

Yes I am teaching her. I did have to get on her a little bit because she was scared about the idea of flying at a field with other people. I told her to don't worry about them and just concentrate on what she is doing. She did and pressed on. When she comes over to my place, I want to get her some more sim time.

She needs to learn basic flying first. I am teaching her on a slow stick at the moment. I might buy her a MCX to help her out.

My GF also started flying last yr we went for a holiday to the RC hotel in Corfu and she decided she wanted to fly so she had about 9 hrs of training out there and has now got a trex 600 with purple bits . But not gone solo yet, but she does not like the sim but it is good as she does try to help with my building and she is willing to learn her goal is to fly a turbine .

Good luck hope it all turns out well it is for me at the moment

Darren.
