Check out the Turnigy packs from hobby king. I'm running the 3s 2200's and have had no issues with them.

I got the 40C rated ones. I'm running an Align 35A ESC with Scorpion 2221-8 motor. Headspeed at 3K. I get about 4-5 min flight times.

Hobby people packs go on sale often. They Rock. Much more zip than my turnigy packs and last about three times as long at a cheaper price. Smaller and lighter too. Win, win, win, win situation.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

My only complaint with them was not being able to choose a connector. They come with an XT-60 (I think) and I run Deans. I had to go buy a bigger soldering iron in order to solder the beafy wire that they come with. I think it's 10ga. I tried soldering them with a 25w but quickly realized that wasn't enough and had to go get a 60w. No big deal as I always like buying new tools.

Here is a good headspeed calculator to give you an idea of what you might be running. Of course nothing will let you know exactly what your headspeed is except a good tach and a buddy who knows how to use it.

Turnigy's are good, better than Zippy's. You will only need the 20-30C ones.

Tips:

1. Don't discharge more than 80% of the pack (aim for 75%).

2. Don't charge more than 2C

3. When not in use leave the packs at between 40-60% (never leave them fully charged for more than 24 hours).

4. Use a good charger like Hyperion or Revolectrix CellPro.

This goes for all Li-po's except the charge rate. (Turnigy recommend 2C max charge, TP for example allow upto 12C charge on their 65C cells!)

60% of the time, it works every time!

Just remember you get what you pay for. If you wanna go in the middle of cheap and expensive go with the pusle ultras. The 2250 35c batteries are $27. I have the 65c ones and over 100 flights on them and they look like theyre brand new. I have two turnigy rx packs and they each have prolly 100 flights and are starting to puff. And take care of them the way youre supposed to. I know im gonnna get ripped here a little bit but hey its my honest opinion and for the money pulse batteries are the absolute best battery out there. The quality of tps for a lot less $$$$.

Battery life has little to do with which brand name is on the label, its down to how they are used.

Remember RX packs often get left fully charged which is why they seem to go bad quickly.
